“Le Collane di Manu” is creative hand-beaded fashion
jewellery by Manuela Biesuz.
The jewellery is composed of a combination of beads
collected all over the world from diverse cultures by
Manuela herself. They represent the merging of cultures
that is happening around us and the beauty that comes
out of these encounters.
Different worlds are brought together in a positive
and enriching way, promoting the uniqueness and richness
of each culture through its craftsmanship.
Since early childhood Manuela has been exposed to a
variety of habits and traditions. Although intrinsically
Italian in her origin, she was raised and exposed to
the beauty, colours and spaces of African landscapes
since she was born. Africa gave her the awareness of
ethnical differences and reality.
Through the influence of Angela Fischer’s jewellery
and photographs, she got the inspiration and passion
of ethnic jewellery that she herself started to collect,
following her husband’s international development career.
From Asia, Manuela received the kindness of manners
and the richness of another incredibly diverse continent.
In the Philippines, she had the opportunity to be exposed
to the colourful beads coming from all over the region
and to meet Path Andrada who transferred to her the
skills and ability to put together these worlds apart.
Diversity
and Harmony are the key elements in “Le Collane di Manu”.
